Definition: A koozie is any housing a vessel of beer fits into.

A peer once called me “The preeminent koozie artist in the world”. As an unhumble gesture, I accepted the title and ran with it.

I love making Koozies and have made hundreds of them over the years. All of them have been sold or given away and have gone undocumented. I put on The Koozie Show in 20.. with CommonHouse Gallery in Austin, and invited about 30 artists to make a koozie. All the proceeds went to the Austin Wildlife Rescue Foundation. The artist turnout and sale were beyond expectation and it was the most successful fundraiser in the history of AWR. We’ve continued to do Koozie shows & fundraisers at our boutique in Austin.
